Framework:User Administration Overview
By activating the first element in the user administration tree, an overview appears on the right-hand side of the tab. This overview serves to analyze the data. To display the selected settings you can pivot by different criteria and in different views.
The following criteria can be selected:
- Roles and users
- Dimensions
- Navigation structure
- BI-Center tree
- Scenarios
- User
The following example illustrates the selected criteria “scenarios” pivoted by scenarios.
The first level displays the scenarios followed by all users and roles that have direct access rights to these scenarios. This means the roles “distribution” and “administration” have the right to read and write the scenario “Forecast 2010”. The users “Hans Meier”, “Pierre Dupont“ and “Tim Zimmermann” are assigned to the role distribution and have access rights to this scenario.
Change the setting “pivot by” to “roles and users”.
The first level displays the users and roles followed by the directly assigned scenarios and the corresponding authorizations. According to the example shown above the user “administrator” has the right to read the scenario “Budget 2010” and the right to read and write the scenario “actual data” (“Istdaten”) and “actual data of the previous year” (“Istdaten VJ”). The user “Hans Meier” does not have a direct access right to the scenarios. “Hans Meier” is member of the role “distribution” and therefore has the permission to read the scenario “Budget 2010”, “actual data” and “actual data of the previous year” and the right to read and write the scenario “Forecast 2010”.
