Enterprise Edition:Input mask
Input masks are used for entering plan data. Input masks offer a wide range of configuration options for every user. The structure of a Input mask can be freely chosen so that its final appearance allows you to enter your plan data quickly and easily. You can select different axes and rotate them, and you can hide or isolate columns as well as arranging them vertically or horizontally. Additionally, you can make many other customizations to suit your needs. These customizations will be explained in this section.
| Hint The data object behind every input mask has to be a CoPlanner Cube, to guarantee the whole funcionality of the mask. |
Elements and Functions
| Hint The appearance and functionality each planning mask is individually defined and may therefore vary. Thus not every planning mask will necessarily display all the typical areas shown in the figure above. |
Other Commands
The planning mask contains the following additional command buttons:
| Pushbutton | Action |
| Opens the “Measures” dialogue box. | |
| Reverses the selected line and column view |
Entering Plan Data
Once you have configured the planning mask to suit your needs, you can quickly and easily enter your plan data. To enter your plan data in a planning mask, first edit the necessary filter settings. Subsequently you can navigate the desired cells in the Work Area by left-clicking on the cells or by using the arrow keys.
Types of entry fields
Planning masks contain entry fields and lookup fields. Entry fields are used for manually entering plan values or typing comments in text entry fields.
For quick and easy data entry, default values like VAT rates and payment keys are not entered manually for each value but selected in lookup fields that access the planning parameters. When you select a lookup field with the left mouse button, the lookup symbol
will be displayed at the right edge of the cell. By clicking on this symbol, you can open a window for selecting the required planning parameter.
Shortcuts for value fields
CoPlanner provides the following shortcuts for entering values: To enter 100,000 EUR, you can type “100t”. By analogy, “m” can be used as a short cut for millions. To override previously entered data, CoPlanner allows you to correct data either by overwriting with absolute values or by calculating relative values based on already entered data. To enter relative values in a cell, enter “=”, the mathematical operand, and the correction value, e.g. “=+500” or “=+100%”. You can specify only one arithmetic operation at a time. Entries like “=+500*10.93” are not allowed.
Detail Record Masks
The detail mask enables several data records to be created and displayed in the planning mask on the same level (or in the same cell of the matrix view of the planning mask). This is necessary for planning sales with different payment keys, which would be impossible in the totalised matrix of the planning mask. Additionally, detail record masks allow you to view and analyse the details of aggregated data.

You can switch to the detail record mode within a planning mask. Click the symbol to open the detail record mode. In this mode, you can view all the available records for the current filter settings

To return to the input mask, click the “Back” button in the Ribbon.
Status Bar
