Tutorial:Planning fixed personnel costs on monthly basis
To enter the personnel costs at Bike GmbH for the cost centre “V1013_1 Sales” for the year 2012 for for each month:
First, you must enter the desired filter and column settings.
Your options here are to enter units, costs per unit, and absolute personnel costs in the columns or fields of this table. The fields or columns marked “Social insurance key” and “Payment key” are lookup fields in which you can select predefined keys.
The fields or columns shaded grey are calculated automatically and will not accept user input.
Enter the number of cost units in the “Units” field. Subsequently, you must enter the costs per unit (excluding social charges). If you additionally wish to plan an absolute value for this personnel cost type, you can simply enter this value in the “Absolute personnel costs” field.
Depending on your data entry habits, you can customise the planning mask to suit your needs. In the following example, the axes will be switched in order to facilitate data entry on a monthly basis.
The production department employs 10 people who receive wages of €1240.- excluding Christmas and holiday bonuses. Your plan must include the additional amounts in the months of May and June.
The automatically calculated “Personnel costs” field multiplies the units with the costs per unit and adds the personnel costs if applicable.
Additionally, you wish to plan a sum of €1100.- as absolute personnel costs in January.
The social insurance key is set to 30% by default. If you change a key, the value will be displayed in the “Social charges” field and subsequently added to the personnel costs in the “Personnel costs” column.
| Hint In the “Fixed personnel costs per year” planning mask, you have the additional option of selecting an exceptional payments key (e.g. holiday and Christmas bonuses). This is not possible in the “Fixed personnel costs” planning mask when planning on a monthly basis. If you need to include these additional payments during monthly planning, please add them in the appropriate months. |
