Technics:CoPlanner Licensing

Every CoPlanner installation needs a valid licence file. In order to get a valid licence file a licence key must be created. This licence key must be sent with an licence request file to CoPlanner. CoPlanner creates a valid licence file („CopLicence.lic“).This file must be placed in the server folder.

Licence key creation

The Application “CopLicenceKeyCreator.exe“ needs to be started. This application creates a key file „CoPlannerLicKey.key“ in the same folder. This file contains all the necessary licenceinformation.

Possible license key creation issues

If a Windows update is aborted premature it can come to errors during the license key production. As a result also license files already functioning can be recognized as invalid.

To correct the problem Windows updates must be accomplished manually. This can be accomplished with the Internet explorer http://update.microsoft.com/ .

For the licence key creation the Windows WMI Service must be running. Thist service is automatically included in every Windows version. If this service isn't started correctly the deletion of every file in the folder:

%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem\Repository

with a following reboot of the machine can help to solve the problem.
