Excel Client:Ribbon
Ribbon
The Ribbon in the upper range includes individual menu items to use the CoPlanner Excel client. The ribbon is divided into the following groups:
- Server
- Data
- Options
- Layout
- Help
These groups are assigned to individual menu items that are needed to work with the Excel client.
Menu items at the CoPlanner Ribbon
Below is a list of all the available menu items:

Like the Windows client the Excel client must be connected to the CoPlanner server. If the Login Dialogue does not appear automatically, select the menu item Login. After you have successfully logged in, the menu item Login will change to the menu item Logout When this option is selected, the connection will be separated from the CoPlanner server. | |
| Options | Via Options you get access to the Configuration options for the CoPlanner Excel Addin.
In this dialogue you can define/change settings for logon/logout, data updating, capture, representation and use of a CoPlanner templates for Excel Addin. | |
| Connection | Here you can define/change your connection settings for the CoPlanner Server | |
| User- / PowerUser-Mode | In the user mode you will have access to your own and shared reports in the Analyzer. in the power user mode you have additional access to the data sources. | |
| Data | ||
| Refresh | Here you can recalculate the data of the workbook.
The button is only visible if "Automatically Calculate" under options is disabled. | |
| Analyzer | The Analyzer represents the wizard which is used to define/composition of the desired data.
Here you have the possibility of createing a report. | |
| Filter | Use this button to open the dialogue for the filter administration.
Here you can define, change settings or delete filter for the current reporting solution. | |

| Formula assistent | The CoPlanner formula assistant supports the user in creating a structure in the Excel client offering Excel client functions. | |
| Delete formulas | With this function either all CoPlanner specific formulas or all Excel formulas can be removed from the current workbook.
Select the option "only CoPlanner formulas" if only this or formulas that include CoPlanner functions should be removed. Select the option "All Excel formulas" when all Excel formulas should be removed from the worksheet. | |
| Mail merge | By selecting the menu item merge, the wizard for the mail merge will be started. | |
| Layout | ||
| Autosize | All column widths will be adjusted optimally to the actual content.
The button is only visible if "Automatically adjust column width" in Options is disabled. | |
| Style sheets | Here, different styles can be applied to the report.
Styles can only be applied to reports with analysis data. | |
| Help | ||
| Portal | Click here for the CoPlanner portal where you can find information and assistance to the CoPlanner products. | |
| Info | The CoPlanner Excel Client Info dialog provides information about the product. Furthermore, the current connection settings can be read from the CoPlanner server. |
