Starting CoPlanner Enterprise Edition

When you start CoPlanner, the following login window appears. Please select the desired company and scenario. Please note that all data will be entered for the company and scenario you select at this point!

CoPlanner Enterprise Edition Login

Hint  In your first CoPlanner session – before entering your company name and a plan version – please login with the default example company (Bike GmbH) and the scenario (Budget 2010). Once you have logged into CoPlanner, you can enter your custom settings and login with your company name and your scenario during your next session.

Login can fail for a number of reasons.

First Steps and Program Components

The navigation and control structure of CoPlanner was designed to emulate a typical planning process. The CoPlanner Standard Model is divided into four sections: Model, Control, Analysis, and Reporting.

The CoPlanner interface

The Model ribbon allows you to enter the settings that are relevant to your company. You can define your profit centres, customise the default profit and loss structure of CoPlanner to your company, and enter your specific seasonal distributions. This is also where you can manually enter your actual data if required. The Control ribbon is the core area of CoPlanner. Here you can perform your planning activities, which will be divided into the ideal-typical sections. You can select different input modes depending on whether you want a rough or a detailed plan – depending on the weighting of the different sections for your plan. In this section, CoPlanner also offers the option of manually entering your actual data. Finally, the Reporting ribbon allows you to analyse your target data and your actual data and to compare the two data sets. CoPlanner includes a number of standard evaluations which you can apply to your data. You can also easily create custom evaluations in the included BI Centre. A CoPlanner Excel Add-In provides additional options for designing custom reports and evaluations directly in Microsoft Excel.

Work Area

The CoPlanner Work Area will continually display current news about your version. Additionally, you can click on the envelope icon to send email direct to us. To launch the online help, please click the question mark icon.

The Status Bar of CoPlanner (at the bottom of the program window) displays the settings with which you logged in.

Status Bar

The area marked in red contains a CoPlanner Cube. This cube may display three different states, depending on its colour (blue , yellow , or red ). The default colour of the CoPlanner Cube is blue . If a command such as “Open report” is being processed on the CoPlanner Server, the cube will be yellow . A red cube indicates that there is a problem. The red cube may appear, for example, when data for automatic actual data importing is supplied in an incorrect data format. If you see this red cube, please contact your PowerUser.
