General Information

An overview about all SQL Server versions from 7.0 including service packs and other intermediate releases as well as download links is available at http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.com. The Microsoft SQL Server is required for the CoPlanner Server.

Enable xp_cmdshell

The Windows process spawned by xp_cmdshell has the same security rights as the SQL Server service account.

When it is called by a user that is not a member of the sysadmin fixed server role, xp_cmdshell connects to Windows by using the account name and password stored in the credential named ##xp_cmdshell_proxy_account##. If this proxy credential does not exist, xp_cmdshell will fail.

The proxy account credential can be created by executing sp_xp_cmdshell_proxy_account:

EXEC sp_xp_cmdshell_proxy_account 'DOMAIN\UserName','password'

This user must have the rights for executing xp_cmdshell:

 GRANT EXECUTE on xp_cmdshell to [DOMAIN\UserName]

Microsoft SQL Server 2005

The xp_cmdshell option can be enabled using SQL Server 2005 Surface Area Configuration → Surface Area Configuration for Features:

The xp_cmdshell option can be enabled via Facets (context menu on the SQL Server node in SQL Server Mangement Studio):

Business Intelligence Development Studio installieren

In diesem Abschnitt wird die Installation des Business Intelligence Development Studio auf Client-Rechnern beschrieben und gilt zum größten Teil auch für eine Nachinstallation am Server. Das Business Intelligence Development Studio gehört zu den Arbeitsplatzkomponenten und wird mit dem SQL Server Setup installiert.

Hinweis  Nach dem Installieren über das Setup muss unbedingt das zum SQL Server passende Service Pack installiert werden. Dieses ist auch für die Aktualisierung der Arbeitsstationskomponenten zuständig.

Hinweis  Das Business Intelligence Development Studio ist ein angepasstes Visual Studio. Das Visual Studio ist über ein separates Service Pack zu aktualisieren (bei Bedarf). Das Service Pack für den SQL Server aktualisiert nur die BI-Komponenten (Designer für Analysis, Integration und Reporting Services).

Microsoft SQL Server 2005

Nach dem Bestätigen der EULA werden die Unterstützungsdateien für das Setup installiert. Anschließend wird vom Setup die Konfiguration des Rechners gescannt. Den Willkommensbildschirm mit Weiter bestätigen. Die Warnungen der Systemkonfigurationsüberprüfung können ignoriert werden, falls sie nur für eine Server-Installation von Bedeutung sind. Bei den zu installierenden Komponenten wählt man Arbeitsstationskomponenten, Onlinedokumentation und Entwicklungstools:

Mit der Schaltfläche Erweitert kann man die zu installierenden Komponenten im Detail auswählen:

Die Online-Dokumentation kann man weglassen, da diese der Dokumentation im MSDN entspricht. Auch das Software Development Kit und die Legacykomponenten werden im Normalfall nicht benötigt.

Anschließend Weiter bis zum Abschließen des Setups. Nicht auf die Installation des SQL Server Service Packs vergessen.
