To establish a connection to the server with the CoPlanner Word Add-in connection information must be specified in the Word Add-in.
These settings are specified in a file. This file can be found in the installation directory of the CoPlanner Word Add-in. The setting can be edited using this file or the server connection dialog.
| Field | Description |
| Server name | Enter name of computer on which the CoPlanner Server is running here. |
| Port number | Enter TCP port number on which the Add-in should communicate with the server. This port must be identical in the Add-in and on the CoPlanner Server (SvrConfig.xml). |
| Max Rows | MaxRows defines how many rows at once are transferred from the server to the Add-in. Specify a setting based on the bandwith of your network. |
| Max Cells | Max Cells defines how many cells at once can be loaded through a matrix definition from the server via Analyzer. Specify a setting based on the power of your server hardware. (Memory/CPU). |
| Mode | Mode defines which transmission type should be used between Add-in and server. This setting has to have the value Native in the Add-in and on the CoPlanner Server (SvrConfig.xml) |
Confirm your changes with OK.
| Hint If all fields in the dialog are shown grey and editing is not possible you do not have the permission to edit this file. Try to start word as administrator or edit the settings directly in ClientConfig.xml using an editor which was started with administrator permission. If it is still not possible to edit the file, please contact your system administrator. |
