Excel Client:Connection to server
The CoPlanner Excel Client must know the name of the computer on which the CoPlanner server is installed and the TCP port through which the server communicates with the CoPlanner client. These settings are stored in the file ClientConfig.xml. This file is located in the install folder of the CoPlanner Excel Client. These settings may be changed either directly in the file itself or via the “Connection to server” dialogue.
Please enter the name of the computer that runs the CoPlanner server. Additionally, you must enter the TCP port number that the client uses to communicate with the server. This entry must be identical in the client and on the CoPlanner server (SvrConfig.xml).
The MaxRows setting specifies the number of data records that can be transferred from the server to the client at the same time. The number you enter here will depend on the bandwidth of your network. The recommended value is 20000.
The MaxCells setting specifies the number of cells that can be loaded from the server together by means of a matrix definition via the Analyzer. The number you enter here will depend on the performance of your server hardware (memory/CPU).
The connection mode specifies the mode that is used to transfer data between the client and the server. This entry must be identical in the client and on the server.
Click “OK” to apply the changes.
If the dialogue is displayed with all fields greyed out and unavailable for editing, then your user name does not have permission to edit the file. If this is the case, please contact your system administrator, who will perform the necessary edits for you.
