Your filter settings determine the data and plan values shown in your input mask. They also determine the areas for which you are entering or editing plan data. To define these parameters, it is necessary to set the “filter element” and the “filter operator” in the filter area.

To set your filter, please open the filter by left-clicking on the black triangle in the filter.

In the open filter lookup window, please click on the desired dimension element. For quick selection you can use the Search function in this window. Click on the Search symbol in the open filter window to open the Search menu The following figure shows all the values in the plan as the topmost elements were selected in each filter.

In comparison with the figure above the following figure shows only the values of the cost center „V1011 Store A“ and the product „928 SL IASP Super Record 11sp Compact“.

Filter operators

By selecting filter operators, you can refine initial the selection you made by choosing a filter element. The filter operator will always be applied to the selected element. The following filter operators are available in input mask:

Filter operators Description
Displays the selected element and all elements below it.
Displays the selected element and one level below it.
Displays all elements below the selected element.
Displays one level below the selected element.
= Displays only values of this dimension element.
<> Displays all values except that of the selected filter element.

The following operators for value fields are available in data record masks:

Operator Function
= The default operator. Displays all data records.
< Displays data records smaller than the specified value.
> Displays data records greater than the specified value.
<= Displays data records smaller than or equal to the specified value.
>= Displays data records greater than or equal to the specified value.
<> Displays data records smaller or greater than the specified value.
LIKE Displays data records that contain the specified expression.


Hint  To search for similar terms simultaneously, you can use the % symbol in text fields. Enter the part of the string that all terms have in common and use the % symbol to designate the variant parts. The filter expression “%bike” used in conjunction with the operator “LIKE will find all data records that have an expression containing the string “bike” in the filtered field.

Show Filter

Open the filter selection menu by right-clicking on the filter area. By default, all required filters are shown.

The button on the left will display the following symbol for visible filters: . Click on this field to show additional filters. Use the context menu command "All" to show or hide all filters at the same time.


Hint  The filter area is always visible in input mask. In data record and detail record masks, you can use the “Show/Hide filter” button at the top right to show or hide the filter area.
