The Login dialogue serves to establish a connection to the CoPlanner server. This connection is required in order to refresh your data. If you see the following message box instead of the Login dialogue after selecting “Login” from the menu:

Then this is due to one of two possible reasons:

  • The CoPlanner server has not been started.
  • The connection settings data is incorrect.

The settings identifying the computer on which the CoPlanner server is installed and the TCP port to use for the connection are stored in the file ClientConfig.xml. This file is located in the install folder of the CoPlanner Excel Client.

By default, this folder will be C:\Program Files\CoPlanner\CoPlanner Excel Addin\. The settings can also be entered from within Excel by launching the connection dialogue from Administration – Server settings (see Server Settings on page 47).

To ensure a successful login, please enter the following settings:

User name

Enter your user name here.

Password

Enter your password here.

Company

Select the desired company here.

Plan

Select the desired plan here.

Language

Select the desired language here.

Once you have entered all the settings, click the “Login” button to connect to the CoPlanner server.
