To insert a new product group called “Mountainbikes” and a new product called “Bianchi 5000” into the product dimension:
1. Create and name the new elements
| Input First select the dimension element below which the new elements will be created. In this example, the new elements will be added below the “Products” node.
Next, click on the “Several elements” button on the “Function” ribbon. |
Two new elements were inserted. They are recognisable by the “Save” icon at the left edge of the line.
Hint The “Save” icon is also displayed next to existing elements, as the order of the elements has changed.
Left-click once on the new elements to rename them. Please note that element names must be unique. If you try to use a name that is already in use, a message box will appear and the name will not be accepted.
Input Select the new element “Element 1” and enter the name “Mountainbike”. Name the following element “Bianchi 500”.
Input Save the dimension.
Moving elements by drag & drop
By dragging and dropping elements, you can insert them in different hierarchies or simply move them within the same level. To place the “Mountainbikes” product group between the racing bikes and the bikes, and to make “Bianchi 500” an element of “Mountainbikes”:
Input Select the “Mountainbike” element and click on the “Down” navigation arrow.

The selected element is moved one step down in the same level.
Hint CoPlanner offers shortcuts for working with the navigation arrows: Press and hold the “Alt” key and select the Up or Down arrow key.
To move the “Bianchi 500” element below the “Mountainbike” element by drag & drop:
Input Left-click on the icon to the left of the “Bianchi 500” element name and hold the left mouse button down.
The mouse cursor will change to a hand and the tool tip will inform you about the following action.
Input While holding down the left mouse button, move the cursor over the “Mountainbike” element.
A red rectangular border will appear around the “Mountainbike” element.
Input Release the left mouse button. The “Bianchi 500” element will be inserted below the “Mountainbike” element.
Please do not forget to save your changes. The “Save” icon at the edge of the edited lines and the active “Save” button show that the changes have not yet been saved.
Hint If you do not wish to save your changes, click Reset. This will reset the entire dimension to the most recently saved state.
