Description of Layout Conventions

We, the CoPlanner team, have done all we can to make this manual as user-friendly as possible. For greater ease of reading, we have adhered to the structure and formatting conventions described in this section.

Special information, hints, and tips are formatted as follows:

Hint  Here you will find important information and hints.

These hints may contain special tips that make CoPlanner easier to use. The same formatting is used for possible limitations that you should observe carefully.

Prompts and Inputs

Prompts for inputting information into CoPlanner and for adjusting settings are shown with the following formatting:

Input  Here you will find instructions for inputting information in CoPlanner Enterprise Edition.

These input fields will contain exact, step-by-step instructions. Names of buttons to click and files to open are shown in quotation marks. If the file is in the navigation tree, the path to the file will be given in quotation marks. Folder names will be separated by slashes (/).

Input  Open the file “Opening Balance” in the navigation tree “Planning/Bottom Up/Financial and Balance Planning”.

Mathematical Calculations

Formulas and calculations are displayed using common mathematical notation, such as the calculation of averages.

Formulas Specific to CoPlanner

The properties for data objects specific to CoPlanner contain settings that were introduced especially for CoPlanner. These properties are highlighted as follows:
