Wie auch der Windows-Client muss der Excel-Client eine Verbindung zum CoPlanner Server aufbauen. Um diese Verbindung herzustellen wählen Sie den Menüpunkt [[Excel_Client:Login_Dialog|Login]].

Es erscheint der Login Dialog, in welchem Benutzername, Passwort und die weiteren Optionen ausgewählt werden sollen. Nachdem die Einstellungen getroffen wurden, klicken Sie auf Anmelden. Erscheint anstatt des [[Excel_Client:Login_Dialog|Login Dialogs]] die Meldung, dass die Verbindung zum CoPlanner Server nicht hergestellt werden kann, finden Sie dafür eine Beschreibung unter [[Excel_Client:Login_Dialog|Login Dialog]].

Folgende Menüpunkte werden hinzugefügt:

#[[Excel Client:Analyzer|Analyzer]]: Der Analyzer wird aufgerufen. Wird ein Bericht eingefügt, so beginnt dieser bei jener Zelle, auf welcher der Rechtsklick zuvor getätigt wurde. Wird der Rechtklick in einem bereits eingefügtem Analyzer Bericht (dynamischer Modus) und der Menüpunkt Analyzer ausgewählt, wird die Matrix aus dem Blatt im Analyzer geöffnet. Dadurch können Achsendimensionen bzw. Filter hinzugefügt/entfernt oder Achsen vertauscht werden 
#In Formeln konvertieren: Der eingefügte Bericht verfügt nicht über Formeln, außer jenen des Filterbereichs (ElemSelect). Bei der Auswahl dieses Menüpunktes und der Bestätigung der nachfolgenden Bestätigungsmeldung, werden Datenzellen und Achsenzellen durch Formeln mit relativen und absoluten Bezügen versehen.
#Zelle: Um Untermenü stehen zwei Befehle zur Verfügung, Werte fixieren über ‘….‘. Zum [[Excel_Client:Datenerfassung/Planung_mit_dem_CoPlanner_Excel_Client#Werte_fixieren|Werte fixieren]] stehen immer die Achsen- und Zeilendimension in der Tabelle zur Verfügung. Des Weiteren stehen Ihnen hier die Befehle für die [[Excel_Client:Datenerfassung/Planung_mit_dem_CoPlanner_Excel_Client#Datenverteilung|Datenverteilung]] und [[Excel_Client:Datenerfassung/Planung_mit_dem_CoPlanner_Excel_Client#Daten.C3.BCbernahme|Datenübernahme]] zur Verfügung.
